at the nursery...

Sorry for the long absence from my photo posts. My master's program, work and learning German has kept my rather busy lately. I have a number of photo posts to catch up on, so without further delay, some photos from an afternoon at the nursery:

Lunch with Emma

Emma loves her YaYa (grandma) and her post-meal cookie...

This photo is particularly relevant since I'm spending the weekend in the middle of Nowheresville, Oklahoma. (Warning: I was in class last night 5:30-9 PM and today 9-4, so my brain is a little gone.)

I've heard rumors of a Starbucks around here, but I think it's too far for me to walk. Sounds like a job for Google Maps! Ok, I just checked, and it would be a 4-mile hike each way. It looks like I have a meeting with Dr. Pepper instead.

Abby & Nate

Abby and Nate took me down to show me the turtle pond and park across from their house. They weren't camera-shy at all! Fun playground photos to follow later this week.

Hooray! ACL is here!

Too bad I won't be partaking in this year's festival. The lineup is great (as usual), and the weather is fantastic (a complete oddity for the festival!). I remember how unbearably hot it was last year and how completely dusty it was the year before. This year should be perfect.

While I was down in Zilker shooting the main entrance way tonight, I ended up doing an impromptu photo shoot for Xtreme Power Solutions. They're the folks who supplied the generators and whatnot for this year's festival. Anyway, I guess you never know what will happen when you're out with your camera.

Can we still "get jiggy wit it"?

"Brick House" came on and, as it was explained to me, the guys were trying to push over the wall. In the second image, I think they were stirring the cement to build the house...yes.

At Dusk

The ceremony started right around dusk, and it was well into darkness by the end of the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding, and I really enjoyed all of Dallas and Lindsey's touches!

8.10.2007

Over the next few days, I'll be posting select images from Dallas & Lindsey's wedding. I wanted to start off with an announcement post featuring pre-ceremony images of the bride, though. Stay tuned until I can contact Lindsey that her images are ready!
